"Surf
Hoboken"
It was Jimi Hendrix who strangely intoned more than
35 years ago that"you will never hear surf music again," He
was half-right. The Lost Patrol as least proves that you'll never hear
surf music in the same way again. Where do three New Jerseyites and a
single New Yorker get the right to play surf music? Hard to say, but one
earful of the atmospheric twang blasted out by The Lost Patrol and odds
are you probably won't care. The group's sound combines not only the twisted,
reverb drenched lines favored by The Ventures but also healthy doses of
spaghetti-Western intimidation, goth-laden pop and ridiculously catchy
lounge leanings." - Ryan Muldoon
