If
James Bond does another outer space movie, he needs to call Danielle Kimak
Stauss and Stephen Massuci. As The Lost Patrol, the New York City duo
makes music that sounds great with the lights off. Theirs is a wide-screen,
electro-lounge, soundtrack sound, perfect for jazzing up the opening credits
or setting the mood for the climactic battle that saves the world. Stauss
adds the haunting female vocals that swing between Bjork and Shirley Bassey,
and Masucci keeps everything steeped in ambient pop and surf guitar. The
Lost Patrol lays down it's cinematic vibe at Poe's Pub. - Pete Humes
